Building a Roof Terrace Storage Unit
Building a wooden storage unit for the roof terrace from scratch was a fun yet challenging project, made more difficult by the uneven space and unpredictable weather. The project started with a clear vision, but we quickly faced some challenges along the way.
Even in September, the sun was blazing and then it would rain out of nowhere, making it difficult to work outdoors. The walls of the terrace were anything but straight, so we had to get creative to make everything fit.
With some teamwork and a lot of problem-solving, my colleague Aron Bueving and I pushed through, knowing that it would be worth it in the end.
One of the biggest hurdles was handling the long, 4-metre beams. They were a pain to transport, but once we had them, we had to cut, sand and paint them just right to make sure everything lined up. It wasn't always smooth sailing, but we kept at it, making sure the structure was solid and looked great.
In the end, all the hard work paid off. The roof terrace storage unit proved to be both functional and stylish, proving that with the right attitude and a bit of creativity, even the most challenging projects can be a success and the client was very happy with the result.
