How We Work – Simple Steps to Get Your Project Started

At Hugo Will Fix It, our process is clear and straightforward. Here’s how it works:

  1. Reach Out
Contact us via email, phone, or WhatsApp to tell us about your carpentry and/or handyman needs.

  2. Provide Details
Send us photos, measurements, and any relevant information to help us understand the project scope.

  3. Receive a Price Estimate
Based on the details you've shared, we’ll send you a price estimate. If you'd like more clarity, we also offer a site visit for a fee of €99.

  4. Agree & Confirm: Once we have agreed the estimated price and timescale, the start of the assignment or project will be confirmed upon receipt of your first invoice payment, which acts as a down payment.

The down payment is required to begin work. Once this prepayment is used, further charges will be invoiced weekly. For larger projects like renovations, we may bill materials and hours throughout the project in advance to ensure a smooth workflow. For more details, please refer to our Price List and/or Terms and Conditions.

How We Determine the Best Price for Your Project

At Hugo Will Fix It, we provide transparent pricing based on several key factors to ensure the best value for your project:

  • Preparation & Travel Time
Before we arrive on-site, we take time to gather tools and materials and prepare our vehicle for the job. We also account for travel time to and from your location.

  • Material Sourcing & Shopping Time
In Spain, finding the right materials often requires visiting multiple stores. We factor this into our pricing to ensure we're fully equipped.

  • On-Site Work
Once on-site, we typically dedicate 6 hours per day to the work. The time dedicated specifically to on-site tasks may vary depending on the scope of preparation required.

  • Half-Day Rate
A half-day rate covers 4 hours total, including on-site work, preparation, packing tools, and travel time. While we can spend about 2 hours on-site, most projects require more time, so a full-day rate is often more suitable.

  • Full-Day Rate
A full workday is calculated as 8 hours, including all necessary tasks (hands-on work, travel time, preparation). Typically, this means 4-6 hours on-site, with the remaining time allocated for travel and preparation.

  • Hourly Rate
For larger projects where the scope exceeds what can be completed in a full day (over 8 hours), we charge by the hour, as the total cost may exceed the full-day rate. Since most assignments require at least 4 hours of work and travel time, we set a minimum charge of €220 (equivalent to the half-day rate) to ensure fair pricing and efficient coverage for both sides.

We take all of this into account to provide fair pricing while delivering top-quality work. Any questions? Do contact us or check out our prices and terms and conditions for more detailed information.
