Terms & Conditions
Making Sense of Our Terms:
A Friendly Overview
Thanks for checking out our Terms & Conditions. We're here to make sure you're comfortable with how Team Hugo Will Fix It works. If you have any questions about our pricing, methods, or terms, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always happy to help!
Please note that our terms can change. Last updated on December 30, 2024.
01. Let’s chat
Before we dive into any work, let’s have a quick phone call to discuss your project. We can give you a general idea of the time, resources, and availability required to ensure everything goes smoothly.
02. Price Estimate
Once we’ve had our initial conversation and reviewed the images or videos you’ve provided, we’ll send you a rough price estimate via email or WhatsApp.
If you’d like to proceed, we’ll arrange a visit to your location to take precise measurements and offer a more accurate estimate.
This visit includes:
Travel to your location
A thorough measurement process
Expert on-site advice for your project
We charge a standard fee of €99 for this visit, which will be credited back to your account if you decide to go ahead with the work.
Please Note:
A price estimate is an approximation and not a fixed price. It outlines the expected hours and materials required, but final costs may vary once the project is confirmed. Invoices will reflect actual expenses rather than estimated costs.
VAT is not included in the estimate unless otherwise stated.
Combined price estimates are not an obligation to complete the work at the estimated cost for any specific part of the project.
Your price estimate is valid for two weeks from the date it’s sent. If there are any changes to the estimate during this period, we’ll promptly inform you with an updated estimate for your consideration.
03. Rates and Commitment
We believe in offering great value for your investment. Our standard hourly rates range from €40 to €55 (excluding VAT, which may be 9% or 21%), depending on the complexity of the task. While that might seem like a lot, we work efficiently, often completing the work of two people in just one hour!
Here’s how we work:
For smaller projects, we may offer half-day or full-day rates.
For larger projects, we charge on an hourly basis.
Alternatively, we can propose a fixed-price estimate for the entire project.
Once we’ve aligned on your goals and timelines, we’ll send you a detailed proposal. If you accept the offer within 14 days, we’ll get started once we receive your advance payment.
Timelines and Flexibility:
While we strive to meet agreed delivery dates, they are not strict deadlines unless explicitly stated in writing. If a delivery date is missed, compensation will not apply unless agreed upon beforehand. We’ll keep you updated and ensure your project progresses smoothly.
04. Payments
To make sure your project gets off to a good start, here's what to expect:
Upfront Fees: A €99 fee is required for an on-site visit to provide a detailed estimate.
Advance Payment: To confirm your project and secure a date for the work, an advance payment is required.
Payment Process:
If the advance or subsequent payments are not received within 5 working days, we’ll need to pause work until payment is received.
For materials, you’ll receive an invoice that must be paid in full before we proceed with purchasing supplies.
Once the initial advance for hours is exceeded, we’ll bill you weekly for any additional hours worked.
Invoicing & Timely Payments:
All invoices will be sent via email and/or WhatsApp. Please make payment within 5 working days of receiving the invoice to keep your project on track. Prompt payments are greatly appreciated, as they help us maintain smooth workflow and timely progress.
5. Timelines and Flexibility
We are committed to meeting agreed delivery dates, but please note that they are not strict deadlines unless specifically outlined in writing. If we miss a delivery date, compensation will not apply unless we’ve made a prior written agreement. We’ll always maintain clear communication to ensure your project stays on track.
6. Scope of Work
We aim to provide high-quality services tailored to your needs. The specific scope of work will be clearly defined and agreed upon before starting the project. Any changes to the scope will be discussed, and if approved, may affect the pricing or timeline.
7. Changes to the Scope of Work
If you wish to make changes to the project once it’s underway, we’ll address those promptly. All changes need to be communicated via phone, email, or WhatsApp and may lead to adjustments in the price or timeline. We will send you an updated estimate reflecting any changes, and work will continue only once we’ve received your approval.
8. Project Delays
We strive to meet agreed deadlines, but sometimes unforeseen factors like weather, material delays, or third-party service delays can affect the timeline. If any delays occur, we’ll keep you informed and do our best to minimize any disruption.
9. Quality Assurance and Warranties
At Hugo Will Fix It, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality work. We may offer warranties on our work, depending on the project, but not on materials. If any issues arise during the warranty period, we will address them as efficiently as possible.
Please note: delivery dates are not fixed deadlines. If we don’t meet a delivery date, you won’t be entitled to compensation unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
10. Liability and Insurance
We carry appropriate liability insurance to protect both our clients and our team. However, we are not liable for damages or accidents caused by conditions beyond our control, such as client-provided materials or improperly prepared work areas.
11. Client Responsibilities
To ensure the timely completion of your project, you must provide access to the worksite and ensure the area is clear of obstacles. Necessary utilities such as water or electricity must also be available for our use. Any failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays or additional costs.
12. Cancellation and Termination of Contract
Both parties can cancel or terminate the project before work begins. If the project is cancelled after work has started, you will be responsible for payment for work completed up until the cancellation point. A cancellation fee may apply depending on the stage of the project.
13. Our Dedication to Timely Delivery
We are committed to meeting deadlines and delivering top-quality results on time. However, please note that external factors such as material availability or third-party delays may impact the timeline. While we will keep you informed of any issues and work hard to minimize disruptions, we do not offer compensation for delays unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
14. Your Privacy Is Our Priority
We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your personal information secure. We’ll always ask for your permission before sharing your details with anyone.
