Measuring Windows for New Wooden Persianas

Recently, I had the opportunity to work on a project at a charming finca in the village of Biniamar on Mallorca. The task was to measure the windows for the installation of new wooden persianas, traditional shutters that not only add character, but also provide much-needed shade and privacy.

The process involved taking precise measurements of each window to ensure that the new persianas would fit perfectly and operate smoothly. Some of the windows were slightly uneven due to the age of the finca, requiring extra care to get the dimensions just right.

When working with older buildings, it’s always important to account for small irregularities, but that’s also what makes these projects so rewarding: the challenge of preserving charm while incorporating functional upgrades. With the finca's rustic appeal in mind, we aimed for the shutters to blend seamlessly with the original stone and wood details of the building.

Once the measurements were finalized, I was excited to see how the custom-made wooden persianas complemented the finca’s overall aesthetic, adding both beauty and comfort to this stunning Mallorca property.
